BE A ROBOT YOURSELF
- UC Berkeley and US Defense Advanced Research
Projects Agency (ARPA, you might recognise that name from ARPAnet)
have designed a set of computer-driven exoskeleton for Army
personnel. You wear it: it senses position and motion and uses it to
operate a set of motorised "legs" that surround the user's real
legs, allowing far greater forces to be exerted.
You can read about it

- The Berkeley
Robotics laboratory has more information.
- Although this was designed by the US Defense Department for
military use, think of some other ways that it could be used.
- Write about 100 words on how you could use an
exoskeleton part to make your life better.
- Format your information to be 14 pt font size on an A4 page using
double line spacing and landscape layout.
- Use an art or drawing package to draw a picture of your robotic
modification.
- Place your picture on the right hand side of your information page.
- Place a footer including your name and class on the page.
