We are going to learn about motion guides by creating this animation*:
Start by setting your canvas size to be 150x150 pixels
Create 2 layers:
The first will be for the spider's web. You can create the web by typing " in Webdings font. Scale your web to fill the whole canvas.
Right click on the 25th frame and choose Insert Frame
The second layer will have the spider on it. It is created by typing ! in Webdings.
Select the spider and choose Modify > Group from the menus.
Rightclick on the 25 th frame. Select insert keyframe.
Move the spider to any place within the web.
Tween the animation.
From the menus choose Insert > Motion Guide
On the Motion Guide Layer, draw the path that you want the spider to follow with Pencil Tool. (Hint: Don't let the start and end overlap)

Select the spider layer. Select the 1st frame. Drag the spider to the start of the path.
Click on the first frame of the spider layer. In the frame options check Orient to path.

Select 25th frame. Drag the spider to the end of the path.
Turn
off the Eye icon in the Guide layer if you do not want to see the path.
Save the file.
