Start by deleting the default cube that appears when you start Blender. Press Space, then choose Add > Meta > Meta Ball |

Right click on your ball to select it. Press Alt - D to duplicate and then without clicking, move your mouse slowly upwards until you have two joined blobs. Check each of your views by pressing 0, 1, 3, and 7 on the NumPad. Adjust as necessary. |

While the top ball is still selected, press S and scale it up until it is a bit larger. |
![]() |
Now we will make an eye socket. Make sure your blob is not selected. Click away to the side of your blob and choose Add > Meta > Meta Ball. |
![]() |
Press S and scale it down so it is about the size of an eye. |

If your meta ball does not look smooth, adjust the wiresize. |
![]() |
Press Tab to enter Edit Mode. In the tools panel at the bottom, choose Negative. |
![]() |
Using all of the views to help you, move your metaball to the top part of the face. It should carve out an eye socket. |

Press Alt-D to duplicate, and move the second one into position. |

Now add a tube for the nose, and continue in this way until you have created your character. Pressing Alt-D will then duplicate your character to as many as you want to have! |
