The Scene Editor is where you build sets, adding objects and figures, cameras and lights, and construct your final scenes. Everything can be animated; cameras, lights, and characters. You can save the output as a sequence of still images, or as an .avi movie file. Choose Mode>Scene from the menus.

Shadows are only visible in rendered images made from the Scene editor. They are only cast from light that you add yourself.

Environment Settings dialog to control several things in your scenes. You can add a background image. You can also add fog effects. You open this with the Settings>Environment command.

These are only a few of the things you can do with the Scene Editor.  You should choose Scene from the User Manual to find out how to use the Scene Editor.
